Students enrol in these courses following agreement with a faculty member interested in the subject the student wishes to study (see faculty areas of specialization). It is the faculty member's prerogative to refuse any request because of prior commitments. Details of the course should be worked out between the student and intended instructor, who must then complete an "Application for WL 340/345/350/450/460 Course" form which is available from the World Lit Department. Registration cannot be completed until this application is signed by the student, faculty member and approved by the WL Program.
Please note that WL Directed Studies courses are reserved for World Literature honors, major, and minor students. Admission is by permission of the instructor and Director.
