Global Issues FLC

The Global Issues FLC combines first-year courses in World Literature, International Studies and History*. If you are interested in global problems and a possible career in Literature, History, International Studies or Political Science, you will love this FLC.
Students in the Global Issues FLC will benefit in a number of ways, including:
- priority registration in core FLC and SFU Surrey courses
- small class sizes
- close contact with professors
- program planning with student advisor and guidance in course selection
- student orientation
- weekly events where students can get to know one another, develop skills for academic, personal and social success, as well as explore career options
Students in the Global Issues FLC take two core courses in fall, and an additional two in spring:
